Long Term Futures are working alongside a large mainstream secondary school in Nottinghamshire (NG10) who are looking to appoint a Teacher of English to start in September 2025.

The school is a part of a large and successful academy trust, with an ambitious English department. The successful candidate will participate in ongoing professional development and benefit from extensive opportunities for career growth across the trust, contributing to creating an environment that promotes the academic, personal and cultural development of students.

The main duties within the role will be:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4.
  • Differentiating planning to meet a range of needs.
  • Assessing children's work against the school's assessment framework.
  • Hold an awareness of potential barriers to learning.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with new educational practices and techniques.
  • Impart knowledge, skills and understanding while encouraging student engagement through consistent routines.

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Holds qualified teacher status (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Is confident teaching both KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies.
  • Is passionate about teaching and keen to ensure that students make progress.
  • Is an excellent team player and will work cohesively with the team.
