Superior Recruitment Group are working with a key client who are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to join their team. This role will be on an Ad-hoc basis for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, and will be to assist with originating and checking engineering documents as and when required and during holiday cover.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design, analysis, and development of piping systems for energy projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Perform advanced pipe stress analysis and support design using industry-standard software.
- Review and approve piping specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to piping engineers.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and quality standards in piping designs.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate piping systems with overall project layouts.
- Conduct site assessments and support construction teams during piping installation.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to develop material specifications and technical requisitions.
- Provide technical support during the commissioning and start-up phases of piping systems.
Qualifications/Experience required:
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
Essential: Extensive experience in piping engineering within the energy sector.
Desirable: Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
