An experienced Credit Controller is required for an established distribution business based in Poole. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for a high volume of small and large accounts:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for these accounts
  • Reviewing new and existing accounts for creditworthiness
  • Setting credit limits taking into account credit agency references and other relevant information
  • Resolving invoice and payment queries
  • Collection of outstanding monies
  • Allocation of funds received to correct accounts
  • Processing credit card payments
  • Reconciling ledgers
  • Distribution of statements
  • Weekly report of accounts on stop
  • Providing cover for other accounts roles on an ad hoc basis

You will need to have high volume credit control experience and enjoy customer interaction on the phone, so having a strong customer service ethic is essential. High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, particularly around month end, is also required. You must have good IT skills, particularly in Excel, and the ability to work as part of a small team. Ideally, some broader accounts experience is required.
