The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement. Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
This role supports the business departments of Honda Finance Europe (HFE). It involves the co-ordination of system solution activities through the full project life cycle to continually improve the effectiveness of systems, associated processes and procedures. The smooth delivery of system upgrades and enhancements, on time and on budget is a key objective of the Business Solutions Team in improving the overall efficiency, effectiveness of the business and usability of the system.
You will be responsible for key deliverables relating to specific changes requested by the Business and to undertake ownership of smaller projects throughout the project lifecycle ensuring that the systems developed adhere to HFE’s strategy and legislative requirements. You will also be responsible for leading workstreams on larger programmes, ensuring requirements are managed and maintained throughout the lifecycle of the programme. This involves initial analysis of business needs and preparation of business cases and business requirement specifications. Following approval, you will be responsible for assisting in the co-ordination of project plans. This means you will be the link, bringing together activities of external software suppliers and involving the business departments in the testing and implementation of solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for information gathering, analysis and business requirements definition for the HFE Systems.
- Elicit requirements using appropriate methods such as interviews or workshops.
- Documentation of key Change Management deliverables such as Project plans, Business Case, User stories, BPMN.
- Responsible for managing and progressing changes assigned from elicitation through to implementation.
- Participate in Change Management including raising Change Requests, liaising with external suppliers, assisting with test and release planning.
- Identify and complete configuration Change Requests.
- Be the liaison between business users, external suppliers and technical support teams.
- Understand and document process flows within the business in order to identify potential efficiencies and suggest improvements, challenging business users where appropriate.
- Assist in the creation and management of test plans which align with business requirements along with the Production Support & Test Manager.
- Carry out functional testing and assist with UAT in conjunction with the business teams.
- Defect management including analysis and raising of faults, prioritisation, liaison with external suppliers, test and release planning, and updating internal tool.
- Report and raise risks and issues in a timely way.
- Regular reporting on Change Requests using appropriate tools and reports such as Jira x-ray, Visio.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- A good understanding of Business analysis methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills and experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
- Ability to explain technical issues in a concise and non-technical manner to business users.
- Self-motivated with good organisational and planning skills, can be relied upon to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and ensure objectives are achieved within agreed timescales.
- Methodical in approach and strong documentation skills, clear attention to detail.
- Analytical and structured, able to listen and understand business needs and transform these into clear and effective requirements.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of management and users.
- Experience of Microsoft Office and Project, Jira and Jira x-ray and exposure to Document management systems and workflow.
- Demonstratable experience in a business analyst role or ability to demonstrate business analyst skillset, ideally within the financial services or automotive sectors or with a consultancy practice.
- BCS accreditation preferred.
- Agile experience advantageous.
