Role Overview

Antibodies.com is seeking a Scientific Product Data Manager (PhD) to oversee and manage the product data for our online catalogue of protein research tools. This pivotal role will involve processing and updating new product lines, editing and refining existing product entries, and ensuring all data meets the highest standards of accuracy and consistency. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of product data, from the initial setup of new products to regular updates and refinements.
  • Process and validate data for new product lines, ensuring it is clear, accurate, and meets our internal standards.
  • Review and edit existing product information, ensuring that descriptions, specifications, and technical details are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, marketing, sales) to gather accurate data and feedback for product improvements.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure product data across the catalog is consistent and accurate.
  • Help refine and improve data management processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide technical expertise and data insights to other departments, particularly for product development and customer support.

Requirements

  • A PhD in a life science field.
  • In-depth understanding of commonly-used protein biology techniques (either as a lab scientist or from a commercial perspective).
  • You will have experience working with large datasets and have an understanding of common antibody-based applications to screen product data quality, along with knowledge of databases such as Uniprot, NCBI, and PubMed.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining high standards of data quality.
  • Experience working with scientific product data (preferably in a commercial or e-commerce context) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
