Are you a detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with a passion for auditing? Join our dynamic team in Guildford and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit services while providing strategic financial insights to our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Statutory and Voluntary Audits: Conduct thorough audits, assess financial statements, and deliver clear, actionable reports to management. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Independent Examinations: Perform detailed independent examinations and communicate findings effectively to clients, helping them maintain transparency and build trust.
- Risk Assessment & Analysis: Review client systems, identify potential risks, and recommend improvements to enhance financial accuracy and control.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate annual financial statements and manage submissions to Companies House and HMRC, ensuring deadlines and regulatory requirements are met.
- Tax Compliance: Calculate and advise on personal and corporate tax liabilities, manage VAT compliance, and submit accurate tax returns to HMRC. Act as the main point of contact with HMRC when necessary.
- Audit Reporting: Produce comprehensive reports and recommendations following internal or public sector audits, offering clients insights to strengthen their financial practices.
- Client Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on bookkeeping, VAT, and various tax matters, tailoring solutions to meet each client’s specific needs.
- Team Leadership: Support and mentor junior colleagues, reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and foster professional development.
- Client Relations: Build strong relationships with clients and company directors, attending meetings and on-site visits to deliver exceptional service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all audit practices align with ICAEW membership standards and maintain compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
