QC Team Lead

Your role:
We have an exciting new role, QC Team Lead within our Glasgow team. You will be responsible for promoting and integrating quality into all areas of the business. This role involves the development and maintenance of quality systems to ensure that BioReliance operates in full compliance with sound scientific practices, GxP, and standard operating procedures. You will carry out assigned tasks competently and undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by Quality Management.
As the QC Team Lead, you will have line management responsibilities for a small team of QC Technicians. You will manage the daily workload of the QC Materials Team, including schedule planning, task assignments, metric monitoring, and completion of QMS records.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Work in accordance with GMP regulatory standards.
• Perform routine work with minimal instruction and manage new assignments effectively.
• Manage the workload of the QC Materials Team, including preparing weekly work schedules and daily reviews of the material quarantine report.
• Communicate effectively with management and operational personnel regarding material status and release timelines.
• Monitor and report key metrics for critical QC Material activities.
• Conduct investigations (Root Cause Analysis) and support corrective/preventative actions as required, including completing associated QMS records.
• Lead and complete general change control actions.
• Perform documentation revisions as required, including electronic and paper records and SOPs.
• Attend meetings as a QC representative.
• Support company/departmental projects as assigned.
• Train other QC personnel in areas of expertise as needed.

Who You Are:

• 2+ years of experience working within Quality Assurance/Quality Control in a GMP/GLP regulated environment.
• Proven organizational and leadership skills would be an advantage.
• Minimum high school level education in English and Math or equivalent.
• Computer literate with strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of making quality-related decisions and providing guidance in areas of expertise.
