We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assurance and Compliance Manager to join SSG’s Assurance and Compliance Team. This role is crucial to maintaining SSG’s business critical accreditations, including ISO 9001 and ISO 45001, which are vital for securing and retaining customers. In this varied and exciting role, you will work with a team of auditors to ensure compliance with industry standards, drive continuous improvement, and support SSG’s reputation for excellence. Your efforts will directly contribute to SSG’s ability to win new contracts and maintain operational integrity. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) audits to ensure continues certification of ISO 9001. Monitor and audit health and safety procedures to ensure certification of ISO 45001. Perform line management duties for employees and contractors, as required. Develop a deep understanding of SSG’s business and contribute to broader initiatives, including business planning and management meetings. Build and maintain positive relationships with SSG employees, customers, and suppliers, sharing knowledge and encouraging collaboration. Ensure SSG’s systems and standards support tender submissions and compliance with applicable legislation. Travel Requirements: The successful candidate will be expected to undertake periods of detached duty in the auditor role to ensure Assurance and Compliance activities at Government sites throughout the UK with occasional overseas travel. As an auditor, the individual will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the successful delivery by SSG of complex Defence, Government and Critical National Infrastructure Programs and Projects. Person specification Essential: Extensive knowledge of Quality Assurance Management Systems and Health and Safety Management Systems. Desirable: Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Intruder Alarm Systems Perimeter Intruder Detection Systems CCTV Systems Access Control Systems Integrated Security Systems or Security Management Systems Once onboarded, the successful candidate may be put through the application process to achieve the higher Developed Vetting security clearance level.
