A central London boutique law firm with a global presence is looking for a Legal Billing Manager to join their team.

As Billing Manager, your duties will include overseeing various billing, revenue control and accounts-related duties across all offices globally, with responsibilities that span invoicing, process management, financial reporting and liaising with external accountants and clients.

  • Month-End Management: Generating management reports and responding to ad-hoc billing and accounts-related queries.
  • Process Improvement: Auditing current manual processes and proposing system improvements.
  • Billing Operations: Creating invoices, running pre-bills, updating time entries, posting disbursements and managing various ledgers and spreadsheets.
  • Liaising with Partners: Coordination with partners regarding billing, invoicing and client queries.
  • Credit and Revenue Control: Managing communication with the Credit Control Manager to settle invoices and monitor fee notes.
  • E-Billing: Managing e-billing queries and assisting with new vendor setups for clients on e-billing systems.
  • Reporting: Providing fee earners with financial reports and account histories when required.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in billing, revenue control and accounts management within a law firm. They will possess a mix of strong technical skills, including proficiency with billing systems and e-billing platforms, along with a proactive, solution-focussed mindset.
