At Grittleton House, a prestigious family-run venue in the Cotswolds, we’re looking for a Wedding & Events Assistant who can blend event coordination with marketing expertise to enhance our digital presence and deliver unforgettable customer experiences. This role is perfect for an organised and creative individual with experience in event coordination, marketing, and social media management. You’ll drive our digital marketing efforts to showcase the magic of Grittleton House, alongside assisting with the administration and execution of weddings and events.
What You’ll Do in this Dual Role:
- Assist in planning and coordinating weddings, private events, and corporate functions
- Support the event team on event days, ensuring smooth execution and an exceptional client experience
- Liaise with couples, clients, and suppliers to ensure all event details are in place
- Prepare event documents, such as timelines, table plans, and room layouts
- Conduct venue show-rounds and assist with client enquiries
- Proactive approach to securing bookings, increasing conversions, and upselling venue services to maximize revenue and attract more weddings and events
- Manage and create engaging content for our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest)
- Develop and schedule posts, reels, and stories to showcase our venue and events
- Assist with marketing campaigns, email newsletters, and website updates
- Capture and curate stunning imagery and behind-the-scenes content
- Engage with online followers, respond to comments/messages, and build our brand presence
- Help plan and promote Open Days, Taster Evenings, and other marketing events
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in weddings, events and hospitality
- Strong social media skills
- A creative mindset with an eye for engaging content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A passion for customer service and delivering unforgettable experiences
- Ability to work independently, manage your own day and diary, and make responsible decisions on behalf of the couple/client and the company
