Looking for a Senior Category Manager for our huge gaming and betting client, having experience in commercial category or professional services.
Contract role – Outside IR35
Rate – £550-£575 per day
Location – Leeds/London, once a day per week onsite
Duration – 6 months
This role is to support our client’s existing team in addressing & identifying significant & strategic value opportunities across multiple business & procurement areas.
This will involve targeting & sizing value levers and working with the team to agree & clarify ongoing treatment and management.
Specifically developing a strategy and execution plan around tail spend.
Providing category support in improving business case discipline, capability in support of Procurement benefit pipeline and embedding best practice.
Support assembly of a 3-year plan & strategic opportunity pipeline.
Assisting with ad hoc commercial delivery & other key objectives as required & as per experience.
Demonstrated success in delivering cost reduction, risk mitigation, and commercial value within significant spend categories.
Broad Procurement / commercial category in-depth experience with a good understanding of key value levers for addressing all areas of the supply base, including but not limited to make/buy decision making, tail spend, Purchasing Cards, OLAs, demand management, and supply base rationalization.
Ability to communicate ideas and build best practice assets that add value clearly and simply.
Ability to work autonomously.
Experience working at pace and in conditions of ambiguity.
Evidence of producing high quality & practical outputs.
Experience in embedding ESG agendas into sourcing and category management disciplines.
Experience working in betting/sports/media/retail/professional services advantageous (but not essential).
