About Our Client:

The client is a Public Sector organisation based in Birmingham.

Job Description:

  • Lead and deliver functional and organisational design reviews, working closely with Executive Directors and senior leaders.
  • Act as an internal consultant, providing expert advice and challenge on how work is structured and delivered to improve organisational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Contract with senior stakeholders to agree expectations, scope, and deliverables.
  • Diagnose organisational design issues and develop practical, high-impact solutions.
  • Design and shape operating models, structures, and processes aligned with business needs.
  • Use data and insight to inform decision-making and guide leaders through the design process.
  • Ensure a co-designed approach, balancing pace and engagement to maintain ownership and momentum.
  • Work closely with the Head of OD to ensure alignment with broader organisational priorities.

The Successful Applicant:

  • A proven track record in organisational design, having successfully led multiple high-profile reviews and projects.
  • Experience working with senior leaders in the public sector, translating Org Design theory into practical outcomes.
  • The ability to build trust and credibility quickly with executive leaders and stakeholders.
  • Strong capability in moving between strategic design thinking and detailed solution development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to support design decisions.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to influence and take others on the journey.
  • Experience working in a project environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a solutions-focused mindset.
