The events coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing an exciting range of in-person, digital, and hybrid events that support Dun & Bradstreet's UK marketing and branding efforts. Event types could include trade shows, conferences, breakfast briefings, dinner events, webinars, and roundtables. This role involves collaboration with multiple teams to ensure events align with marketing strategies and achieve targeted goals, such as lead generation, brand awareness, and customer engagement. The role will report into senior supervisor, marketing.

Key responsibilities

  • Working with the Integrated Marketing Managers (IMMs) and other members of the marketing team to understand their objectives and events schedule and create and own an overall events plan.
  • Management of the events roadmap across different lines of business, verticals, and partners (e.g., webinars, events, and tradeshows), identifying new event opportunities throughout the year.
  • Managing different vendors, sponsors, and partners for each event and ensuring services meet expectations.
  • Owning the budget for each event, onboarding suppliers, managing the requisition process, and ensuring that suppliers are paid through the finance process.
  • Work with the IMMs on the event briefing process and produce any relevant creative briefs.
  • Create a briefing pack and present an internal event briefing session with speakers and sales teams to ensure they are prepared for each event, followed by a post-event debrief to gather learnings and optimizations.
  • Perform promotional support before the event and help create event assets.
  • Work closely with Marketing Operations on lead management and follow-up from events to ensure leads are allocated as quickly as possible.
  • Work with the IMMs on post-event follow-up reporting.
  • Organize logistics for both internal and external events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and equipment rentals.
  • Owning, ordering, and managing merchandising for each event, and maintaining stock levels and ordering process.
  • Be present on site at each event to support, set up, and break down event stands.

Key requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in an events coordinator role for a B2B organization or relevant degree.
  • Experience in developing sales messaging and campaigns preferred.
  • Experience of executing emails using a Marketing Automation system (Marketo) would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and effectively communicate with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills essential.
