Are you someone who is passionate about Insurance and has a confident knowledge of household/residential building reinstatement and mitigation with experience managing several stakeholders? Due to growth, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Desk Loss Adjuster and are looking for someone who would love to showcase their skills, ideas and make a difference to our team.

A bit about the job: This role services our customers affected by building related damage from an escape of water, flood, fire, and impact. You would be joining a team of around 20 specialist handlers who manage claims up to £50k virtually. We give you full responsibility to own the claim, providing a customer focused & cost-effective service by managing from instruction to completion. You would also be the main point of contact for customers and suppliers managing claims and utilizing the support of field-based colleagues and suppliers.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience in Household/residential insurance.
  • A good understanding of building pathology.
  • Ability to scope and schedule reinstatement works utilizing photos and video.
  • Good knowledge of the buildings industry, mitigation, building standards and materials.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the customer.

  • Starting salary from £34,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
