Our OEM Client based in Dunton, Essex, is searching for a LV EDS PMST Lead Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 10 month contract position initially until 31st December 2025 with the potential for further extension.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £29.43 per hour
Position Description:
- Lead LV EDS Program team and Full-Service Supplier.
- Hold regular PMST team meetings to align on outstanding issues and drive resolution.
- Support escalation meetings on critical topics with Program Management team.
- Lead cross-functional activities for issue resolution affecting multiple departments VHM 1/ 2 / 3 / 4.
- Track program timing using Ford GPDS System and prepare for key milestone sign-offs such as Chief attestation, Chief Declaration, FDJ, etc.
- Track and sign off DV activities within FEDE and understand the difference between design rules and system design specifications.
- Prepare robust design rule deviation documentation for technical specialist and management approval using proforma format if needed.
- Track EDS concerns releasing within WERS and ensure all approvals such as Finance, Manufacturing, New Model Launch, and CPE are obtained in a timely manner.
- Track PPAP and pedigree status for released wire harness parts and ensure alerts are set up and populated correctly.
- Ensure any change requests via Alert or Concern validation documents AACS (Alert Authorisation Check Sheet) and DCCS (Design Change Check Sheet) are completed.
- Support supplier onsite visits and run-rate events to ensure wire harnesses are correctly PPAPed.
- Track EDS cost finance status to ensure vehicle cost is not negatively impacted.
- Plan and organize first piece sign-off events with full-service suppliers to ensure parts supplied for pre-production build phases meet J1 design intent.
- Support launch activities onsite and report issue resolution to launch management.
- Validate EDS WERS Usage coding to ensure it aligns with the product definition letter.
- Track and manage PDO changes by following CRF Process.
Skills Required:
- Problem-solving skills using G8D process and 3 legged 5 why.
- Understanding of 2D wire harness drawings and WERS usage coding.
- Electrical and Mechanical EDS design.
- Skill set needed to make informed design decisions.
- Understanding of EDS drafting software and tool flow including CapXC, Zuken, Integrator process.
- Ability to operate Ford releasing system WERS.
- Ability to operate Teamcenter to sign off parts being released and view 3D CAD designs.
- EDS BoM validation.
Skills Preferred:
- Excel VBA Programming skills.
Education Required:
- Engineering degree.
Additional Information:
- Candidate requires Passport for Travel to Turkey and Morocco.

- 2 days office in Dunton, 3 days' work from home.
