Your Opportunity to Drive Change as a Sales Account Executive, UK
We are seeking a Sales Account Executive (AE) in the UK who will play a key role in helping Volue deliver meaningful value to our customers and advance our mission. This role is an opportunity to join a collaborative, people-centered team working to accelerate the green energy transition while fostering innovation.
As an AE, you will produce new business sales revenues by developing customer relationships, account strategies, and driving successful sales processes. You'll take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring that our customers find real value in Volue’s solutions. This role also offers the chance to work alongside an empowering and supportive network of colleagues, including Sales Development Representatives, Solution Sales Experts, and Sales Engineers, as well as teams in Product, Delivery, and Marketing. By contributing your skills, you’ll help create a brighter, greener future while growing personally and professionally.
What you will be doing to make a difference:
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans for prioritized customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
- Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
- Take the lead on the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities and presenting value-driven solutions to closing deals and ensuring smooth handover to delivery teams.
- Collaborate with experts to deliver tailored solutions that generate measurable value for customers.
- Present, promote, and sell innovative solutions and services using value-based arguments.
- Win new clients (new logos) for Volue, contributing to our growth and impact.
- Proactively manage a pipeline of opportunities and maintain excellent sales hygiene in CRM tools.
- Negotiate and close agreements in line with Volue’s processes, always keeping the customer’s needs at the forefront.
- Work to avoid customer churn by involving the right teams at the right time to support customer success.
What you need to succeed:
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, economics, or engineering).
- At least 3 years of experience in energy markets or power grid markets.
- A proven track record in sales roles, including selling SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions.
- A strong understanding of the UK energy market and its dynamics.
- Expertise in selling complex software solutions and services and a curiosity to keep learning.
- A consistent history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent CRM hygiene and an ability to provide transparency in the sales process.
- English fluency (native-level proficiency is a plus), with international experience being a strong advantage.
