Fabric Engineer / Handyman – Commercial Maintenance

Location: London

Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum + Extra work

Hours: Monday to Friday

Are you a skilled Fabric Engineer / Handyman with experience in commercial maintenance? We’re looking for a hands-on professional to join our team and ensure buildings are kept in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Building Maintenance – Carry out repairs and upkeep of commercial properties.
2. Carpentry & Joinery – Repair doors, frames, locks, and furniture.
3. Basic Plumbing – Fix leaks, blocked drains, and replace fixtures.
4. Painting & Decorating – Carry out touch-ups and refurbishments.
5. Minor Electrical Work – Change lightbulbs, reset breakers, and assist engineers.
6. Fire Door & Emergency Equipment Maintenance – Ensure doors, signage, and safety measures are compliant.
7. Legionella Awareness & Water Testing – Conduct basic water hygiene tasks (if trained).
8. Compliance & Documentation – Maintain records of all maintenance work.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Experience in a Fabric Engineer or Handyman role – Ideally within commercial buildings.
2. Multi-Skilled Maintenance Skills – Carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor electrical work.
3. Legionella Awareness Certification (preferred but not essential).
4. Health & Safety Knowledge – Understanding of risk assessments and compliance.
5. Proactive & Hardworking – Able to work independently and as part of a team.
