A rapidly growing company in private market intelligence is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to shape its data infrastructure and drive advanced analytics. With a modern data stack built on Python, SQL, DBT, and Azure, this team is developing high-performance solutions to power decision-making in private capital markets.

Key Responsibilities

🔶 Develop & Maintain Data Pipelines – Ensure efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of structured and unstructured data

🔶 Optimise Infrastructure & Automation – Enhance scalability, automate workflows, and improve data delivery mechanisms

🔶 Build Analytical Models – Design tools that provide actionable insights for business and investment strategies

🔶 Implement Security Best Practices – Maintain data integrity and protect sensitive information

🔶 Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with data scientists, product managers, and engineering teams to align on data-driven initiatives

Requirements

🔶 3-5 years’ experience in data engineering or analytics engineering

🔶 Strong Python development skills, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and testable code

🔶 Advanced SQL expertise and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)

🔶 Experience building and maintaining DBT models

🔶 Familiarity with cloud data services (preferably Azure) and version control (Git, GitHub)

🔶 Hands-on experience integrating data from APIs, databases, and SFTP sources
