Morgan King Technology is partnered with a fast-growing Nationwide company looking for a Senior Software Engineer based in Leeds. We’re looking for someone who has expertise in Django , Django Admin , and MySQL to join a dynamic team. Job Type: Full-Time

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Django applications.
• Creating efficient, user-friendly administrative interfaces using Django Admin.
• Optimizing and maintaining MySQL databases, ensuring top performance and reliability.
• Writing clean, scalable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
• Managing authentication, authorization, and security within Django.
• Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
• Optimizing database queries, indexing, and schema design for maximum efficiency.
• Ensuring effective implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in both production and development environments.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of professional experience working with Django and Django Admin .
• Strong experience with MySQL databases , including performance optimization, query design, and migrations.
• Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• In-depth knowledge of ORMs , database indexing , and query optimization.
• Experience with Celery, Redis , and task scheduling .
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes , or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure ).
• Familiarity with unit testing, debugging , and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git , GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Experience with asynchronous processing in Django.

Nice to have:

• Experience scaling high-traffic applications .
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines .
