Emmaus Hertfordshire is a homelessness charity with a difference. We don’t just offer people a bed for the night. We provide a home for as long as it’s needed, meaningful work and a sense of belonging. We’re looking for an enthusiastic people person to join our team as a Store Manager in our newest store in Letchworth.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a role that allows you to be both creative and commercial, while playing an integral role in supporting people experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives. Our Social Enterprises are not only essential in providing the majority of the funding required to run our community – they also provide meaningful work and training for our Companions.
You’ll need to have a positive, can-do attitude and an ability to coach others with compassion and empathy. You’ll have full ownership of delivering success in a new store, with an opportunity to really make this role your own. To our Store Managers, there is no such thing as a typical day. Your role will be varied and challenge you, but it will in turn be stimulating, exciting and truly satisfying.
You will develop and encourage your team to deliver a visually exciting store that attracts both customers and donors through the doors. You will also play a key role in advocating for Emmaus and educating your local community about our work.
