Reporting into the Director of Public Health, you will be responsible for taking several projects forward to completion.

About the Consultant in Public Health role:

1. Provide advice and support to other public health staff and organisations, including directors of public health, the government, and local authorities.
2. Be confident in making change happen, build rapport, and work professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
3. Due to the demanding nature of this role, you will be highly experienced across a broad range of Public Health leadership roles and have a strong proven track record of delivering results.

Your previous experience as a Consultant in Public Health:

1. UK PHR Registrar – Active or receiving within 6/12 months.
2. Support the wider Public Health team on various portfolios, including Planning, Licensing, regeneration, and Health Inequalities.
3. Develop priorities, policies, and guidelines in line with Authority’s expectations.
4. Hold a senior leadership role within the council, driving improved health and wellbeing.
