Director of Architecture & Cyber Security

Pulse Recruit is seeking an Associate Director of Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security for a leading higher education institution. This position offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical domains, driving innovative solutions.

As the Associate Director, you will be pivotal in aligning business needs with technical solutions, ensuring the delivery of secure, efficient architectural frameworks. You will lead a team of professionals, including a Technical Architect and an Information Security Manager, to create and maintain systems that meet both functional and non-functional requirements while championing security by design.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of complex solution architectures in alignment with business services.
Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Oversee the analysis of existing technology environments to identify critical deficiencies and recommend enhancements.
Drive change management initiatives to ensure stability and consistency across IT services.
Establish policies and governance strategies for solution architecture selection and implementation.
Promote digital innovation by leveraging emerging technologies to enhance the existing IT landscape.
Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in leading solution development or architecture roles within complex organisations.
Strong knowledge in at least two technical disciplines such as infrastructure design, application development, or database management.
Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and security practices.
