Tax Technical Manager or Senior Manager

About the Role

As a Tax Technical Manager/Senior Manager, you will be key in shaping tax risk management, quality control procedures, and knowledge-sharing strategies. With tax regulations becoming increasingly complex, this role is crucial in ensuring the firm\’s tax professionals are well-equipped with the latest insights and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and enhance tax risk management and quality control procedures.
2. Maintain and improve the firm\’s internal tax knowledge database.
3. Keep current with tax developments relevant to the firm\’s clients and communicate key insights.
4. Produce tax-related content for internal use (bulletins, newsletters) and external publications (website content, articles, press commentary).
5. Support the development and delivery of internal tax training.
6. Draft responses to HMRC and HMT consultations on tax policy.
7. Create templates, precedents, and checklists to streamline client services.

What We\’re Looking For:

1. CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.
2. Ability to quickly understand and communicate complex tax developments.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with SharePoint is an advantage.
5. Interest in leveraging technology for knowledge management and process improvement.
6. Self-motivated, with strong project management skills and the ability to drive initiatives forward.
7. A collegiate approach, working with teams at all levels to implement effective tax processes.
