We are seeking to recruit Field Engineers, based from our office in Leeds (working throughout the UK). As a Field Engineer, you will work with teams on various wastewater and water projects around the UK & Ireland. The Field Engineer will be part of a small team installing and maintaining flow monitors, water quality instrumentation and auto-samplers into sewer pipes and rivers around the UK. The work you do will contribute to improving our environment; you will be helping water companies to manage their sewer networks, which will help to prevent flooding, reduce pollution and improve the health of rivers and bathing waters.
Your typical day will involve visiting various sites where you will support your Field Crew Leader in setting up safely and then carry out the installation, calibration or removal of our equipment – which is usually located inside a confined space or a river environment. This will include lifting and carrying equipment from the vehicle to the specified site.
Field Engineer Requirements:
- Flexibility towards hours and working away from home (accommodation and meals are paid for by the company).
- A flexible approach to working at night and some infrequent weekend work is crucial.
- Ability to work well within a team and with a variety of different people, as our teams swap and change.
- Strong work ethic, positive and can-do attitude and ability to use your own initiative when faced with problems.
- Comfortable working around raw sewage and in confined spaces.
- Clean and valid driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
What We Can Offer:
- Full training, including confined space entry certification.
- A competitive salary starting at £26,208 basic, with enhanced pay for night working.
- Uplifted salary based on skills progression.
- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).
- Contributory Company pension scheme.
- Employee perks scheme.
- Career development and progression.
Full training will be provided, so you don’t need previous experience in the sector; however, a track record in a similar environment would be an advantage. Due to the safety-critical nature of the work, successful applicants will be subject to drug and alcohol testing prior to start and on a spot check basis during employment.
Benefits:
- Enhanced employer contributory pension scheme.
- Enhanced life assurance scheme.
- 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
- Employee perks scheme including shopping, gym and cinema discounts.
- Access to wellbeing support including 1:1 counselling for you and your immediate family.
- Salary sacrifice cycle scheme.
- Introduce a friend bonus scheme.
- Favourable absence pay scheme.
- Celebrating success awards (given out when people do something great).
- Boost Awards – employee recognition scheme.
As well as the above, we will provide you with support and encouragement to learn and develop to truly reach your potential.
