The role of HVAC Technical Sales Consultant is intended to work as a critical part of the existing sales team, taking both inquiries made directly to Jordon Group, cross-selling opportunities from the wider Bellrock Group, and developing a dedicated sales pipeline through business development.

As a HVAC Technical Sales Consultant with Jordon Group, you’ll do it by:

  • Becoming an expert in the retail industry relating to Petrol Forecourts, Convenience, Farm Shops, Coffee Shops, Fast Food, and other opportunities such as office refits and high street retailers.
  • Completing initial site surveys (using site audit pro).
  • Working effectively with other specialist tradesmen (electricians, plumbers, builders, principal contractors). Communication skills are key here.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams and individuals at Jordon Group.
  • Understanding the turnkey shop fit process, including all elements we deliver (shop fronts, joinery, electrical, lighting, plumbing, shelving, counters, back of house, refrigeration, heating & cooling, ventilation). Extensive training and support will be provided.
  • Writing accurate quotes.
  • Effectively selling to seal the deal with support and nurturing.
  • Nurturing long-term customer relationships with customer service & people skills.
  • Managing projects successfully.
  • Conducting market research to understand what motivates our target clients and key industry drivers.
  • Having Health and Safety Training skills (SPA Passport, Asbestos Awareness, and others TBC).
  • Having existing experience or understanding of AC/HVAC system design.

What does it take?

If you’re ready to help us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a HVAC Technical Sales Consultant, you’ll need:

  • Existing CAD training and certification, or willingness to undertake the training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint). All training can be supported on the job.
  • Familiarity with our systems such as Epix.
  • Experience using our in-house CRM (Customer Relationship Management) for managing client touchpoints, sales pipeline, sales conversion rate, and active sales.
  • Knowledge of HVAC design, installation, and maintenance (ductwork, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, ventilation systems).
  • Familiarity with load calculation software.
  • Understanding of building regulations, including Part L (energy efficiency) and Part F (ventilation). Experience with quoting systems and tenders – including creating detailed cost estimates.
  • Previous involvement with HVAC systems quoting, estimating, or design.
  • A full valid UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and stay overnight as required.
  • A commercial mindset.
  • Time management skills (general project management).

Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the office located in Oldham Manchester. Full-time hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
