A leading National Tier 1 Contractor is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. The location is flexible across the UK with hybrid working options available.

The Opportunity: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be key in producing Mechanical Designs that comply with Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations. This role offers the chance to work on projects that positively affect the environment and communities across the UK.
Key Accountabilities:
- Produce Mechanical Designs in line with BMS and CDM regulations.
- Assist in broader design production activities, including PMEICA and Civils.
- Provide essential technical support for procurement activities.
- Support site operations as required.
- Manage the design production of Consultants and Sub–contractors, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Competency Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications at HNC or Degree Level in a recognised subject.
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation, including The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
- Understanding of sub–contract processes, including contract and commercial aspects.
- Basic project management skills, including programming, cash flow analysis, and resource planning.
- Willingness to pursue membership with a relevant professional institution (e.g., IMechE).
- Experience in the Process Industry is essential; Water Industry experience is desirable.
