SRG is exclusively partnered with a leading global developer of antimicrobial and hygiene cleaning chemicals, based in West Cheshire, who are looking for an entry level chemist to join the team to support the Senior chemist. You\’ll be joining a busy, collaborative office with a diverse team and a strong learning culture where you will be able to grow your career in industry. This is a varied and hands‑on role in the lab where you will get the opportunity to support with routine and non‑routine testing, formulation, product development, regulatory compliance, R&D and QC testing. This role would suit recent chemistry or cosmetic science graduates who are eager and motivated to kick‑start their career in industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Chemist with physiochemical tests such as pH, viscosity, density, color, and odor assessments.
• Perform wet chemistry techniques including titrations, extractions, and gravimetric analyses.
• Support with physical chemistry investigations, including stability studies and compatibility testing.
• Assist in the development and optimisation of chemical formulations under the guidance of senior chemists.
• Assist in the preparation and adjustment of formulations for new and existing products.
• Perform ad hoc QC testing to support production and resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with chemical regulations such as BPR, SDS, CLP, REACH.
• Support the team with regulatory documentation and product registrations across the UK, Ireland and Europe markets.

Requirements

• Recent Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, formulation chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• Industrial placement or some experience in industry (preferred).
• Full right to work in the UK; there is no sponsorship available in this role.
