A rapidly growing provider of specialty high voltage solutions for applications in Australia’s electricity network, renewables projects, and heavy industry. To achieve this, we partner with world-leading manufacturers in the power transmission and distribution field. Clients and projects are high profile in both nature and reputation, often relating to overcoming challenges associated with the ever-changing energy industry. Our offices are located in inner Melbourne, and we have an efficient team of technically minded professionals focused on innovation, project management, and quality of support. We are an agile team that works in a close environment and is looking for a new member to complement this group. You should be willing to learn and share in a very collegiate team.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified professionals capable of performing the role of a Project Electrical Engineer. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will contribute to tender submissions, RFPs, quotations, technical training, and all pricing activities.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Achieve positive outcomes on Budget Prices submissions, RFPs, Quotations, and all pricing activities.
  • Present price offers, quote correspondence, tender responses, and all oral and written communications.
  • Facilitate after sales and technical support for product ranges as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all activities in the CRM and the Business Management System.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Attend project updates, bid negotiations, and contract status reviews.
  • Actively contribute to the continual development of company practices and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Circa 2+ years of relevant experience working as an electrical engineer.
  • An understanding of large-scale power projects.
  • Experience in 66kV+ substations.
  • An analytical and problem-solving mindset with a relevant understanding of a project or technical product-based industry.

The Project Engineer position has the capacity to work from home one day per week, subject to project/bid specific requirements. There is the likelihood of periodic domestic travel (Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth), with international travel possible subject to requirements (UK, EU, and China). All conversations will be strictly confidential.
