Role Description: We are looking to recruit dynamic and energetic team members for the SRE/Ops Engineering Team who are keen on developing their skills and enhancing their careers. The Ops Engineering Space is at the forefront of the infrastructure transformation. You will work in a small team with other engineers, managing supportable, sustainable, and reliable services.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Initiating continuous process improvements for better operational effectiveness
- Identifying recurring manual tasks with a view to automate
- Developing corrective actions to resolve operational issues
- Upgrading and patching lifecycle management
- Supporting the start-up and integration of new operations from projects
- Identifying and implementing cost optimization and reduction initiatives
- Investigating and understanding root causes for issues in business operations
The Role will require an appreciation of the following technologies: AWS, TerraForm, Azure, Gitlab, LINUX Administration (RHEL); OpsView, PagerDuty, Ansible, Bastion Host, and more.
You will also be able to display:
- Good communication skills both in written and verbal with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- A good understanding of using robust Software Engineering best practices/methodologies.
- An ability to converse with both internal and external stakeholders.
- An appetite for learning new technologies.
- A capacity to identify and drive forward improvements.
- An awareness of DevOps and Agile principles.
