The Role

Due to the continued success and growth of the Almac Group, we are recruiting for an Energy Engineer to join our busy Engineering team within Central Services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Energy Engineering professional to be part of Almac’s ongoing global sustainability goal. The Energy Engineer will design, implement and manage energy-efficient systems and processes across our facilities. The role involves conducting energy audits, analysing energy consumptions, identifying improvement opportunities, and overseeing energy-saving projects. You will support and contribute towards Almac’s sustainability strategy which is focused around three core areas; our people, our planet and the places we operate. We are committed to be net zero by 2045 and in 2024 we made significant progress on our goal.

What we are looking for

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up permanent employment in the UK
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant work experience of energy engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles, technologies, and regulations.
  • Experience with energy auditing and benchmarking tools.
  • Proficiency in energy modelling and simulation software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST).
