Founded in 2001, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world's longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem. The site's audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years.

Purpose of the role: Resident Advisor (RA) is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing global Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least one year of experience in finance or accounting who is eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We're seeking a detail-oriented, organised, and proactive individual who shares our passion for electronic music. In this role, you'll support various finance functions, including accounts receivable, month-end, management reporting, and payment processing. We believe in professional growth and will support relevant studies and development opportunities where appropriate.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Processing: Manage the invoicing process across all our international entities. Supporting on the credit control process where required.
  • Month-End Processes & Reconciliations: Support the finance team with month-end closing tasks, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Departmental Cost Updates: Assisting in tracking and updating departmental expenditures, ensuring budget accuracy and alignment.
  • Promoter Payment Processing: Performs payments accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company policies.
  • Assist with maintaining financial records and documentation.
  • Provide general support to the finance team as needed.

We're looking for:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a junior finance or accounting role.
  • Experience with processing payments and handling financial transactions.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience of Quickbooks a plus.
