We are seeking a Software Asset Management Administrator (SAM) to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves managing software licenses, ensuring compliance, and supporting our software asset management processes in collaboration with a systems integrator.
Your responsibilities as the Software Asset Management (SAM) Administrator:
- Process software license purchases and maintain accurate records.
- Track software installations and removals, ensuring data accuracy.
- Support change management processes and update asset databases.
- Respond to customer and SI requests within SLAs.
- Generate reports on software usage and compliance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through license re-harvesting.
As a successful Software Asset Management (SAM) Administrator, you will have:
- Basic understanding of software licensing principles.
- Familiarity with SAM tools like Snow, Flexera, or ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles related to asset and change management.
- Strong IT literacy and experience with asset management tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and vendors.
- Experience in an IT support or administrative role.
