We are recruiting for an experienced counselling tutor to join the adult education team in Greater Manchester.

Requirements:
  • Level 4 Counselling qualification and industry knowledge, experience and insight to prepare and deliver purposeful teaching, learning and assessment for learners to progress to the next steps.
  • Minimum qualification requirements for tutors: 420 hours of therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above (e.g. TC-L4).
  • Personal therapy + professional association membership: 10 hours of personal therapy AND membership of a professional association for counselling or psychotherapy.
  • On-going CPD: 30 hours per year CPD activities.
  • Minimum practice experience: Current practitioner with 2 years’ supervised counselling practice or minimum 450 counselling hours AND supervision qualification or 1 year experience of providing supervision to groups or individuals in a counselling setting.
  • Minimum experience as a trainer/tutor: Teaching qualification AND 2 years teaching and assessing at level 2 and 3 or above.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
