NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful HVAC business to assist them on their search for a Hire Service Technician & Pipe Fitter in the Southampton area.
Your Role
- Diagnosing system problems during the servicing of products and equipment.
- Attending customer sites and carrying out planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns, warranty work and hire and commissioning jobs.
- Working on both hire install jobs as well as pipe fitting work.
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers, taking on the role as the point of contact.
- Working with various internal teams such as sales, hire desk and operations, establishing strong channels of communication and sharing customer insights.
- Utilising software and technology, as well as hand-tools, whilst following engineering specifications and blueprints for repairs and diagnoses.
You MUST Have:
- FGas qualified.
- Excellent knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
- Gas safe.
- Experience in pipe fitting.
- Valid, clean UK driving license.
- Experience as a field-based technician.
- Proficiency using diagnostic software, apps and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
Applicants should be prepared to work varying shifts that include weekend working, as per the Rota and the occasional call outs.

For the successful candidate within this role, a starting salary of up to £37,000 will be on offer, depending on prior experience and knowledge, which will accompany an additional benefits package including a competitive holiday and pension allowance, an allocated van and much more. Additionally, the business is keen to support their employees and will provide ample training both initially and on an ongoing basis, alongside excellent internal opportunities for development and progression in order to enable the successful candidate to grow and learn.
