Our client is looking for a number of drivers mates to join their busy waste removal company. Immediate start, with shifts available on Saturday 14th June.
Our client is a large, national waste removal company with depots across the UK. This position involves working around Swansea and the UK with a driver. Applicants will be collected from their home and dropped back off at the same address at the end of the day.
The role predominantly involves working with a driver to make waste collections at domestic premises, which may include collecting removed kitchen items, bedroom furniture, or sofas. There may also be occasions where it is necessary to visit a restaurant whose bins have not been emptied, requiring the loading of waste into the van to be taken to the depot. These types of collections are less common but should be considered by applicants.
Shifts are booked on a daily basis, with our client contacting us each day to inform how many staff are needed for the next day. Due to the nature of these shifts, full-time work is not guaranteed each week; however, each shift lasts 10-12 hours, meaning working hours can accumulate quickly.
Pay is weekly at £12.21 per hour. Due to the ad hoc nature of the shifts, this role would be ideal for someone who is between jobs, not seeking set full-time hours, or a university student with specific days off from their studies.
Applicants must have safety boots and ideally Hi Vis clothing, although all other PPE will be provided. No experience is necessary, but applicants must have a good attitude, be comfortable with physical work, and be willing to occasionally 'get their hands dirty'.
