About AssetCool: AssetCool is an innovative and rapidly scaling technology company pioneering the development of advanced power line coatings and robotic solutions that enhance the performance of overhead power lines. Our ground-breaking technology enables up to a 30% increase in power line capacity at just 5% of the cost of traditional solutions. With strong demand from North America, South Asia, and Europe, we are poised for significant expansion, increasing our workforce by 200% in the next 24 months. AssetCool are building a company in which we hope to get hundreds, if not thousands of power line robots to overhead power lines all over the world, to help facilitate the energy transition.
To drive this scale-up and ensure seamless deployment of our technology, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead our operational strategy, manage complex service rollouts, and oversee manufacturing and site expansion.
The Role: As COO, you will play a pivotal role in AssetCool’s growth, ensuring our cutting-edge technology is deployed at scale across multiple domains, including robotics, chemistry, and power systems. Your leadership will be crucial in managing the transition from early-stage innovation to large-scale commercial deployment, setting up operational processes where none currently exist, and driving efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scaling Operations: Lead the rapid growth of AssetCool’s operations, ensuring our technology is deployed efficiently and effectively across international markets.
- Manufacturing & Supply Chain: Oversee the establishment of new manufacturing units, working closely with manufacturing engineers to set up production facilities and supply chains.
- Developing Manufacturing Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy to support rapid scale-up and efficient production of components and coatings.
- Service Deployment: Manage the rollout of retrofit services, coordinating field crews and ensuring all components and coatings are ready for deployment.
- Site Expansion: Oversee rapid site growth and new facility development, ensuring smooth transitions as we scale production and service delivery.
- International Expansion: Drive the strategic expansion of AssetCool’s products and services into global markets, ensuring operational readiness and successful market penetration.
- Operational Strategy: Develop and implement standard work processes for a business where none currently exist, ensuring a smooth operational scale-up.
- Resourcing Strategy: Develop and implement a resourcing strategy, including employing versus contracting staff based on project needs, balancing temporary versus permanent roles, managing staff rotation, and ensuring efficient project deployment.
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work across multiple technology areas, including power systems, robotics, and chemistry, ensuring seamless integration of products and services.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a world-class operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Who We’re Looking For: We are seeking a super talented operations leader with a proven track record of scaling early-stage technology in complex, service-based industries. The ideal candidate will have experience in:
- Scaling high-growth technology companies, preferably in industries like power systems, robotics, or advanced manufacturing.
- Managing field service operations, including coordinating service crews, retrofit deployments, and site logistics.
- Setting up and expanding manufacturing facilities, either by leading new site expansions or working closely with manufacturing engineering teams.
- Developing operational processes in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, where standard procedures may not yet exist.
- Working in cross-disciplinary environments, integrating robotics, coatings, and power systems into deployable solutions.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in power systems, robotics, coatings, or manufacturing.
- Experience leading field service operations, managing line crews or service teams.
- Proven ability to scale companies in operationally complex environments.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and execution skills.
