Location: Redbridge – Ilford

The Role

Our client requires an experienced Housing Officer to work with one of their area housing teams. The key responsibilities include:

1. Identifying vulnerable residents and working with partner agencies to ensure all residents can live safely and sustain their tenancies.
2. Managing all areas of Tenancy Management including successions, assignments, mutual exchanges, and legal issues, including preparing statements and presenting these at court, boundary disputes, and damage to property.
3. Successfully managing anti-social behaviour through proactive case management, negotiation, finding solutions, updating victims, and keeping detailed records.

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to be:

• A resilient self-starter who thinks well on their feet in a variety of different, often challenging situations. We are looking for people who relish a challenge and are able to deal with confrontation.
• Detail-oriented.
• Creative and demonstrably able to develop solutions to assist residents on our estates.
• Willing to attend some out-of-hours meetings and capable of lone working. Daily use of a car and a full driving license is essential.
