About the Role
Hyperion Partners is pleased to be representing our client, a forward-thinking Build to Rent (BTR) operator, in their search for an experienced Facilities Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day facilities management across a high-quality residential portfolio, ensuring an exceptional living experience for residents.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for maintaining building services, managing contractors, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, and driving operational efficiencies. This is a key role that requires a proactive, hands-on approach to maintaining high standards across the development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, repairs, and compliance of all building services, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and oversee reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, fire safety, and statutory obligations, maintaining accurate records.
- Lead contractor and supplier management, ensuring service levels are met and value for money is achieved.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identifying and resolving any maintenance issues proactively.
- Work closely with the resident services, property management, and leasing teams to ensure a seamless and high-quality resident experience.
- Assist with budget management and cost control, ensuring facilities operations remain efficient and within budget.
- Support sustainability initiatives, helping to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance within the development.
- Manage and mentor on-site facilities teams, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in facilities management within the Build to Rent, PRS, or luxury residential sectors.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and compliance regulations.
- A recognised health & safety qualification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) would be highly desirable.
- Experience in contractor and supplier management, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, resident-focused mindset, committed to delivering an outstanding experience.
- Familiarity with property or facilities management software would be beneficial.
