What Is the Opportunity? We are looking for a Marketing and Events Specialist to join our team based in London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience with corporate events. The role holder will develop, execute and measure marketing and event activities for Travelers Europe, to support business growth, retention and enhance relationships with customers, brokers and other key stakeholders. You’ll be joining a dynamic and fun team that will provide you with support as you grow in your career and the exposure to be involved in various projects around the business. There will be the opportunity to travel as part of the role, to events around the UK and work with senior members of the team, so strong communication, organisation and customer service skills are key! This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be involved with, and on occasions, owning the full life-cycle of projects. This could be from making bookings with event organisers and speaking with media agencies, to liaising with senior stakeholders and clients at events.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

What Will You Do?

  • Works closely with other members of the marketing team, internal stakeholders, external partners and suppliers to execute marketing activities aligned to business goals.
  • Physical and virtual event management: work alongside the part time Events Manager to support in executing the events plan to deliver face to face and virtual events, including event attendance if required.
  • Responsible for driving forward event planning and liaising with stakeholders and suppliers in the absence of the Events Manager.
  • Email marketing: writing, creating, executing and tracking of regular, campaign and event driven emails.
  • Social media marketing: creating and executing social media posts on LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Campaign management: working with other Marketing & Customer Experience colleagues to generate and execute campaign ideas to support brand messages and key sector/segments.
  • Track, monitor, adjust and report on executed activities.
  • Content creation and management: develop and generate new product and thought leadership leveraging internal stakeholder expertise and external suppliers.
  • Use propriety and third-party channels to syndicate content to audiences, positioning Travelers as an expert in the areas we want to be famous in.
  • Collateral management: be responsible for the management of marketing collateral, ensuring all material is coded and reapproved as required.
  • Co-marketing initiatives: take the lead on delivering/repurposing marketing content for use with our Strategic Partner Brokers.
  • Keep key stakeholders informed of Travelers Europe marketing programmes.
  • Ensure marketing programmes reflect the Travelers brand and are aligned to the Marketing Objectives.
  • Adhere to the Travelers Procurement and Finance processes.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are compliant with regulatory requirements, specifically the financial promotions policy and Travelers Corporate Identity guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Preferably experience in a B2B intermediated business, ideally in the insurance industry.
  • Ideally educated to degree level with professional qualifications in either marketing, communications, events, insurance or a related field.

  • Experience of working in a corporate environment in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
