Key Purpose of the Job
Since 2014 DNEG’s Feature Animation division has been collaborating with filmmakers and IP owners to create high-end animated feature films. Currently in production on major animated features, we are looking for new talent to join our growing team. Thriving on collaboration and the creative energy it provides, we will craft together spectacular visuals and bring to life the vision of both major Hollywood studios and independent productions!
Key Responsibilities
DNEG Animation is a leader in stylized and realistic effects focused on a variety of animation projects. At DNEG Animation, compositors work closely with VFX, 2D supervisors, and leads to compose multiple CG, MGFX, and DMP elements that will complement the visual effects of a cut. The work is dedicated to the integration of complex CG, which means that compositors must be comfortable working with full CG and hybrid cuts. Our compositors are part of daily client reviews and sessions and follow production methodologies to develop creative solutions to problems while performing all aspects of VFX Design composition.
Job Requirements
- Experience in the VFX/Animation industry as a composer of high-end projects
- Good knowledge of the VFX/feature film animation pipeline
- Good knowledge of handling and working with fully CG shots
- Experience with Nuke
- Good knowledge of projections in Nuke (and any 2.5D work)
