At CoMind, we are developing a non-invasive neuromonitoring technology that will result in a new era of clinical brain monitoring. In joining us, you will be helping to create cutting-edge technologies that will improve how we diagnose and treat brain disorders, ultimately improving and saving the lives of patients across the world.
As a member of the CoMind Software Team, you will be actively involved in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on the BSP, drivers and embedded Software applications to ensure the optimal operation of hardware within the products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Software Engineers, Data Science/ML Engineers, Systems Engineers, and the QARA team, to develop safe and reliable medical devices.
Responsibilities:
- Software Development: Design and develop software for medical devices while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 62366, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations, including cybersecurity requirements.
- Implementation & Compliance: Develop software solutions and support cross-functional development activities, ensuring adherence to all phases of design control, including requirements definition, design documentation, risk analysis, implementation, code reviews, and integration testing.
- Software Maintenance: Maintain and update software for safety-critical systems.
- Process Improvement: Actively contribute to Lean/Agile initiatives.
- Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years in embedded software development, particularly for complex or safety-critical systems.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in C/C++.
- Industry Background: Experience in highly regulated industries, preferably in medical device development.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with multi-tasking systems, Linux and RTOS, FPGAs, micro-controllers, CUDA, communication protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, PCIe), driver development and familiarity with signal processing using GPU (preferred).
- Development Approach: Knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices in software development.
- Tools & Practices: Proficiency with version control systems (e.g. Git/Bitbucket), debugging tools, CI/CD pipelines, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
