Suttons International, a family-owned global logistics business, seeking a Workshop Technician to join ourWidnes Head Office Depot.
You will be joining our existing vessel and workshop teams, working Monday to Thursday 19:00 06:00.

The Role
Carrying out essential vessel maintenance including periodic vessel testing, repairs, monitoring, and reporting, youll play a fundamental part in ensuring our testing procedures are followed putting safety first. This is a great opportunity for someone new to the Tanker industry to learn from a team working in a safe and clean environment using high spec equipment.
This role is open to someone who has a mechanical background or is comfortable and confident being in a hands-on job role
Key Accountabilities & Hours
- Ensuring Periodic Vessel Testing is completed in line with our Safe Operating Procedure
- Carrying out running defect repairs
- Diagnosing faults
- Working on General Purpose and Gas tanks
- Purging out of flammable vessels
- Repairs to Pneumatic operating systems
- Access to the inside of vessels to carry out inspections and repairs
There will be exceptional opportunities to be trained:in Working at Height, Manual Handling, Confided Space, Breathing Apparatus, Permit Writing, Abrasive Wheels and Rescue from Tank where required.
