Location: Home Counties / London with site travel.

Salary : Negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including

Summary

A successful railway infrastructure contractor specialising in track installation & signalling is looking to hire an experienced Construction Manager / Senior Site Manager in the South of England. Seeking candidates based in the Home Counties or London Areas and willing to travel to sites as required.

Duties include

1. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
2. Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
3. Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications
4. Managing project schedules, resources, and budgets
5. Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project team members
6. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment
7. Documenting project progress, maintaining accurate records, and preparing regular reports for management

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years of site/construction management experience on Railway Engineering projects
2. Permanent way project experience desirable
3. HND/HNC minimum in Civil Engineering or relevant subject
4. Experience working on NEC contracts
5. Excellent communication and people management skills
6. Commercial awareness of cost monitoring and cost value reconciliation
7. SMSTS
8. Railway Safety Training (PTS)
