The Premier League's Finance department is looking for a recently qualified management accountant to join the team and provide business partnering support to various Premier League departments as well as managing the finances of affiliated companies. We are looking for a candidate with strong technical accounting ability, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.

We have a wide variety of responsibilities. These include organising the competition and its Handbook as well as managing the centralised broadcast and commercial rights. The work we do in conjunction with the Clubs also goes far beyond the 90 minutes. We support and provide a framework for youth development, protect the organisation's intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly and annual financial processes for the Premier League entity, including:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Raising of sales invoices
- Preparation of statutory financial statements
- Liaison with external auditors
- Assessing technical accounting considerations
- Budget monitoring
- Entity setup procedures
- Involvement in software migration project
Requirements for the role
- Chartered accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) - up to two years post qualification
- Attention to detail
- Ability to apply a structured approach towards balancing multiple demands and priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and a good team player
