We’re looking for experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to work on a variety of Rail, Highways & Airport infrastructure projects. Working for a large design & build M&E Contractor, specialising in Infrastructure Projects, as a Mechanical Engineer you will coordinate/oversee the engineering process through the stages of design, installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring that all aspects meet HSE, quality, programme, and compliance standards.

The role will require you to undertake Mechanical design review in line with current standards to ensure buildability and constructability. Where required you will also undertake Mechanical designs (tunnel ventilation, HVAC, pumped systems etc) including design checks.

This role involves working closely with the construction team and liaising with key stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of either Mechanical or Public Health systems. This varied role is both Site and Design office based.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Knowledge of relevant Mechanical installations legislation and standards, BIM and design modelling standards
  • Experience of working on Infrastructure or Utilities Projects such as Rail, Airports, Highways, Power Stations, Water, Oil & Gas
  • SMSTS and/or CSCS Card
  • Worked on Mechanical Installations incorporating Mechanical or Public Health systems (i.e. HVAC, fire-rated ductwork, potable water, drainage systems)
  • Be Proficient in MS Office and scheduling tools (MS Project or P6)
  • Have undertaken reviews of Mechanical Services Designs to ensure buildability
  • Undertaken Mechanical services design
  • A Driving Licence
