Children's Registered Manager

Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for an interim Childrens Registered Manager to start a new role in Sutton, London.

We are seeking an experienced, Ofsted-registered Interim Manager to lead a new children’s home in preparation for their upcoming Ofsted visit.

As the Registered Manager, you are expected to have a strong, hands-on presence within the home, as you will be responsible for overseeing the care, safety, and well-being of the children, as well as managing staff and ensuring compliance with regulations like Ofsted’s Children’s Home Standards., * Ensure the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations and manage the inspection process to meet and exceed the required standards

• Mentor and support the development of the current manager to ensure they are fully prepared to take over the role after a designated period. Provide coaching, training, and leadership development aligned with Ofsted standards.

• Manage the day-to-day running of the home in line with the Care Standards Act.

• Provide support to young people with life skills and education.

• Take the lead in setting standards and evaluating achievements.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a children’s residential home sector/Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience to meet OFSTED regulation requirements

• Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualifications

• Compliance: Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UK

• Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, office based, 1 day a week from home, * children’s home management/supervisory: 2 years (required)

• children’s residential home sector: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (required)

This role will be for a minimum period of 6 months and is paying £400 a day.
