We are looking for a talented graphic designer to join our team on a one year fixed term contract basis from May 2025. Urban Foresight is the UK’s leading place-based innovation consultancy. We work with ambitious clients around the world on projects that improve lives, protect the environment, and create new economic opportunities.

The ideal candidate would be based within commuting distance of one of our offices in Dundee or Newcastle, and would enjoy working in-person with our teams on a regular basis. Fully remote working could be considered for exceptional candidates. Part-time working will be considered, according to business need.
The role
You will work with our Senior Graphic Designer (based in Dundee) to develop a wide range of digital and print materials. Your responsibilities will include:
- Formatting: Enhancing the quality of the reports and presentations prepared by our consultants to maintain brand consistency and create eye-catching deliverables.
- Branding: Maintaining the Urban Foresight brand identity, ensuring consistency in design elements across all communication channels.
- Data visualisation: Transforming data and research findings into accessible and engaging visual representations, helping to communicate insights effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Working closely with our multidisciplinary consultancy teams to ensure that design aligns with project goals and objectives.
- Digital media: Designing engaging visuals for our website and social media platforms to enhance our online presence and engagement.
- Print production: Preparing design files for print to ensure high-quality printed materials.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate would have:
- A university degree in graphic design or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrable professional experience in graphic design.
- Thorough knowledge of the Adobe Cloud suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Thorough knowledge of working with Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro or equivalent video editing software.
- Ability to engage confidently with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritise work, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
