We have been appointed to manage the Treasury department recruitment campaign for one of the UK’s top high impact Banks. The latest phase of this will see us offer a series of fixed term / day rate contract roles to market. All are anticipated to be for 12 month periods. This particular role will focus on core Treasury ALM responsibilities. Hybrid working available - You can use various UK office locations (including London) from which to fulfil your two day a week office attendance requirement.

Role Description

  • Leading on the identification of how financial risks could materialise and recommending ways for the bank to manage their potential impact.
  • Manage the Bank’s long-term stability from an Interest Rate Risk perspective.
  • Assessing developments, both external in terms of the economic environment and internal from product and proposition changes.
  • Understand how changes could impact the Bank’s financial risk profile leading to recommendations to senior management committees.
  • Assess any new regulatory developments to ensure the Bank can understand and manage the impact of changes.
  • A key part of the role will be building and maintaining relationships within Treasury and across the Bank with the need to explain technical ALM/IRRBB topics to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • The role may have line management responsibilities.

Role Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant subject (such as Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Economics) or other equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience of ALM risk management, including a deep understanding of regulatory requirements including the production of the IRR Reports.
  • Leadership skills with a track record of delivering through a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ALM/IRRBB subjects in a simple way to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Effective relationship building skills with both internal & external stakeholders.
  • A willingness to take the initiative and think about impacts outside your immediate area of expertise.
