A leading top 50 accountancy firm are seeking to hire into their payroll team in Norwich for a Payroll Associate. You will work to support the Payroll Manager, as part of the payroll team, helping to manage and accurately process a number of payrolls, including onboarding and processing using Brightpay payroll software. Responsibilities will include the following: Handle payroll setup for new starters and process leavers to ensure accurate payroll adjustments. Process statutory entitlements like maternity, paternity, and sick pay in line with legal requirements. Manage deductions and contributions for various workplace pension schemes, ensuring compliance with auto-enrollment laws. Efficiently set up high volumes of new payroll accounts with accuracy. Work closely with clients on an online portal to confirm payroll changes and updates. Calculate and manage Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) payments and deductions, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements. Manage payroll queries related to PAYE, liaising directly with HMRC as needed. Use Excel to organize and track payroll tasks, ensuring accurate client records and easy reference.
