Estimator wanted to join our winning team for commercial metal framing, drywall, and acoustic ceilings. You will be managing multiple projects and deadlines, prioritising tasks, while working within a positive team environment and directly with our key customers. Your work will be highly visible and appreciated.
The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented, providing exceptional follow-up in a timely manner with minimal oversight. Must be self-motivated and have a good business sense, taking full ownership of the projects being bid. People with experience acquired through education and/or work experience in estimating or construction job site work experience will be considered.
Candidates will understand the operating practices of construction, be able to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, and distribute documents without the support of an administrative assistant. Must be able to read, understand, and analyse blueprints and identify missing elements. Be computer literate. Have knowledge of contract review, materials and manpower requirements, construction techniques, and purchase orders.
Preferred Qualifications (but not required):
- Hands-on metal framing & drywall experience
- Experience in take-offs, budgeting, and estimating in the metal stud and drywall business
- Experience with On-Screen Take Off and Quick Bid
- College degree in Construction Related field
